Working with Label Templates
The Label Designer’s Label Templates dialog box can be used to do the following.

Adds a new template to the template list. Click Add to add a new label template to the template list. The Add Template dialog box opens with a default name of LabelTemplate (plus a sequential number). You can accept the default name or enter another name. You will also need to define the type of label template you will be creating. If the label will be used to print spine or book labels, select Bibliographic. If the label will be used to print mailing labels based on user records or create user cards, select User. If you have Barcode Validation configured on the server and need to define a label template to generate user or item barcode labels with the Create Valid Barcode IDs report, select Barcodes. Click OK and the new label template is added to the Templates list.
Renames the selected template. Select the template from the Templates list you want to rename, and then click Rename The current label template name displays. Type a new name over the existing text, and then click OK. If you try to enter a duplicate name, the OK button is unavailable. If a unique name is entered, the Templates list is updated to reflect the new name of the label template.
Deletes the selected template. Select the template you want to delete from the Templates list, and then click Delete. A confirmation message appears. Click Yes to delete the template. An updated Templates list displays.
Modifies the selected template from the Label Designer. In the Templates list, select the template you want to edit, and then click Modify or press ENTER. The Label Designer opens with the selected template. You are ready to modify the template.
If a Label Template is in use by another user (locked), the Modify button will be unavailable, and you can only view the label template. For more information on modifying the label template, go to the Label Designer Wizard.
Opens the selected template in Label Designer in read-only mode. Select the template you want to view, and then click View.
Unlocks the selected template. If a Label Template is locked by another user, and you are a system administrator, click Unlock.
Stores the selected template in the Label Templates as the new default for labels. Select the template you want as your default template for printing reports, and then click Default.
The name of the default template you selected displays in the Status bar at the bottom of the Label Templates dialog box.
