Usage Statistics Tab
The Usage Statistics tab is only displayed when orders are searched by catalog information, such as Title. The tab displays when an individual orderline or a list of orders on the title is displayed.
The Usage Statistics tab is intended to assist selection librarians and catalogers in determining whether an additional copy for one or more libraries should be ordered. The level of demand for a particular title as reflected on the Usage Statistics tab can influence the acquisition of additional copies.
The usage statistics totals are at the title level. The following values are combined totals for all volumes and copies of the title.
• | Total Checkouts |
• | Total Copies |
• | Total Holds |
• | Total In-house Uses |
The following fields are defined for the Usage Statistics tab.
In a circulation summary, the Total Checkouts field reflects the total number of checkouts and renewals for this item.
In a circulation summary, the total copies field reflects the total number of copies, across all volumes, call numbers, and libraries associated with this title, which are summarized.
In a circulation summary, the total holds field reflects the total number current holds on any of the copies, across all volumes, call numbers, and libraries associated with this title.
For example, if there were 3 copies of a title, and 3 title level holds, and one copy level hold, the total holds would be 4.
In a circulation summary, the total in-house uses field reflects the total number of times any of the copies, across all volumes, call numbers, and libraries associated with this title, were marked as used with Mark Item Used wizard.
