Status Alert Messages and Reserves

The following message displays if an integrity problem exists between the reserve control record status, the instructor/course reserve record stage, and reserve copies status.

WARNING: Inconsistent status settings

This message means the reserve control record status is inconsistent with the instructor/course reserve record stage and/or the reserve copy status. The reserve control record status, instructor/course record stage, and the copy status must relate in the appropriate manner. The following additional messages display in the Status Alert glossary in the reserve record to explain why the relationship is inconsistent.

Copies set to PICKUP/ON RESERVE inconsistent with no reserves

This message displays when the copy status is set to PICKUP or ON RESERVE, but an instructor/course reserve record does not exist for the copy or copies. The PICKUP copy status means that copies are being prepared for Reserve Desk circulation, and the ON RESERVE copy status means that copies are ready to be circulated from the Reserve Desk. If these copies are not associated with an instructor or course, users will not know these copies are on reserve.
